Introduction to USB Flash Drive

USB memory  is a common term for a flash drive with USB connection. The first USB-memories that appeared around 1998 was 8 MiB to 64 MiB. The storage capacity of the USB flash drives sold today is typically from 1 GiB up to 256 GiB.

In line with the falling price and increasing performance, USB memory gradually almost completely supplanted the old disk as a simple and inexpensive erasable storage medium. Virtually all modern PCs and Apple computers have support for USB flash drives. Older computers running Windows 1998 for example there is usually drivers so that guests can use their memory of them.
